Available exclusively as a playstation Network download, Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? is every bit as odd a game as its overly lengthy title suggests. A tower defense game at its core, Holy Invasion mixes in elements of ecology and maze building with a dash of off-kilter humor to produce an experience that's more in-depth than many of its tower defense peers. With unpredictable unit behavior, however, it's also far more frustrating.

It's been a long time coming, but E3 2009 provided us with our first real look at Gran Turismo 5 in the form of a trailer. While GT5: Prologue gave us little hints at what we can expect from the final game, it's become clear after seeing the trailer that Prologue didn't even scratch the surface of what we can expect from GT5's release. While the trailer is certainly fantastic (click the link below to watch it if you haven't already, or again for a refresher), running through it with a fine-toothed comb presents us with a couple new clues as to what we'll see in the game. Since Polyphony is being absolutely silent on the game right now we can't get official word on anything, but that doesn't mean that we can't pretend to be Sherlock Holmes and dig up our own details.

Our time with Demon's Souls at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo was much too brief to appreciate the game. Thus, we were pleased to get some hands-on time with this unique action role-playing game, as well as get a demo of how some of the multiplayer features work. Atlus came by to show us how brutal Demon's Souls could be, but that didn't stop us from creating a new character from scratch. This playstation 3 exclusive has been out for a while in Asia, and it's been easy to import because some versions have English translations. But Atlus plans on releasing the game in North America in October, with a deluxe edition for those who are patient enough to wait.

For a lot of games these days, trying to make sense of the name's subtitle is nearly as big of a challenge as actually playing the thing. At first glance, Dragon Age: Origins might appear to have one of those cryptic subtitles, but the concept of "origins" actually plays a very big role in the game. Whether it's your protagonist or your party members, a character's history will significantly alter the adventure that plays out before you. That was the subject of a recent demo for this high-fantasy role-playing game as led by developer BioWare.

Battlefield 1943 serves as a good indicator of how far downloadable console games have come in just a few years. It began with the modest (but still fantastic) xbox 360 launch title Geometry Wars, a simple 2D shooter that wasn't much more than Robotron with an extreme makeover. Jump ahead to summer 2009 and we can download a 3D first-person shooter that supports 24 players online and looks almost as good as a full retail game. Battlefield 1943 is a benchmark for digital titles and sets a new standard for what we'll be expecting. It doesn't innovate in terms of gameplay, but it's a fun and streamlined multiplayer shooter you can obtain without dealing with the nerds at GameStop.
